Jessica has been a practising counsellor at The Crossing Counselling and Bridges Counselling. She is committed to providing a safe place for her clients to tell their stories and experience their emotions. Jessica is integrative in her practice and works mainly through an interpersonal, emotionally-focused approach to get to the heart of core issues, upholding self-worth and autonomy in decision-making and working towards change. She is able to integrate faith issues into her clinical practice for Christian clients.
Jessica works with individuals and couples and is particularly interested in areas such as pre-marital counselling, relationship issues, communication, affairs, trauma/abuse, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, and spiritual issues. Having migrated from SE Asia as a young adult, Jessica has an understanding of the challenges and rewards facing migrants and international students. Jessica’s background in biochemistry supplements her holistic and integrative approach to helping people.
Jessica has experience providing educational presentations/workshops to churches and offers this service upon enquiry. Jessica is a provisional member of PACFA and an associate member of CCAA (Christian Counsellors Association of Australia) and is also a Prepare-Enrich facilitator.
