Rhondda Long

Master of Counselling, BA; Clinical member of PACFA

With individuals, issues I work with include, but are not limited to: abuse, anxiety, carer stress, depression, grief and loss, guilt, loneliness, shame, trauma and work-related stress. With couples in relationship counselling, I seek to help you understand what is going on (or not) for you in your relationship, what your communication styles are, what they mean to you, and what you would prefer, to help you to connect in the ways that are important to you. I am able to integrate faith issues in counselling for Christian clients and am able to sensitively address issues for people from different faith and cultural backgrounds. I have come to counselling after twenty years in adult education and training.  Since graduating from Morling College in 2015 with a Master of Counselling, I have worked in private practice as an individual and  relationship counsellor, using a variety of techniques including cognitive and emotionally-focussed therapies.  From 2020 to 2022 I worked as a Counsellor at CatholicCare with a particular focus on adult clients experiencing Carer stress.
