Enid Choong

Masters of Counselling, BA Dip Education, Fundamentals in Online Therapy-Level 1 Member of PACFA

Enid provides individual counselling for a wide range of issues including life-adjustment issues, emotional challenges in coping with chronic pain or illness, trauma – past and present, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, spiritual abuse, and inter-relationship difficulties.   She has experience working with neurodivergent clients or clients with neurodivergent family members within a neurodiversity-affirming framework.  She works with individuals, of all spiritual orientations, and backgrounds, from a stance of compassion and respect.

Enid spent most of her childhood years living in Fiji, Papua New Guinea, and the USA, and is married to a second-generation Australian-Chinese, giving her firsthand experience with cross-cultural issues and trans-cultural adjustment challenges.  Her life experiences include raising children and working in education and church settings.  She is also familiar with the diverse difficulties of individuals coping with chronic illness in themselves or family members, and the pain of church-hurt.

She is committed to creating a safe space for you, along with a personalised counselling experience where hope can be restored, and your counselling needs met. She provides trauma-informed care, and is both holistic and flexible in her approach, regardless of the underlying issue, so your unique needs can be met.
